Since our inception in 1997, Lifeline Medical Transport Service set out to be dedicated to the NHS, by providing road and air transport for patients, medical teams and various specialist units throughout the UK and Ireland.
Lifeline coordinate and transport organs for transplant, blood for transfusion and samples for analysis to various departments within the NHS. We also transport medical records x-rays, scans, cd’s and medical equipment.
We use a selection of courier/pathology vehicles which comply with the highest industry standards. All of our vehicles are tracked by using the innovative ‘Blackbox’ system. This allows us to report on the exact location of a vehicle at any time.
Our equipment in every vehicle includes a full EEC approved Safety Kit (containing a Fire Extinguisher, Hi-VIz Vest, First Aid Kit, Warning Triangle, Ice scraper and Safety Hammer; Biohazard Spill Kit, hands free phone kit and a COSCH approved trolley for the heavier items).
Lifeline Medical are proud to be the first private ambulance Service in the North East to be CQC registered and inspected – something we take very seriously so our Trusts can be assured that every specimen transported by us is in safe hands.
We pride ourselves with our flexible approach and our ability to change and adapt to the situation.
Being on call 24/7 means that we always have drivers on ‘stand by’. Dedicated drivers would be available to cover any additional ad hoc work that may be required. Lifeline Medical are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
